Estate Planning Services

Planning for the future can be overwhelming, but with the right guide and good advice, it doesn’t have to be. We believe in the definition of estate planning espoused by the National Association of Estate Planning Attorneys:

  • “I want to control and protect my property while I am alive.”
  • “I want my property to take care of me and my loved ones if I become disabled.”
  • “I want to give what I have to whom I want, the way I want, and when I want.”
  • “I want to save every last tax dollar, professional fee, and court cost possible.”

Good estate planning is not just about drafting a set of documents, it’s about creating a blueprint for the future. It’s not just about preparing for the inevitable, but about living intentionally today, with the confidence that comes from knowing you have your affairs in order. It’s about protecting that which you value the most, caring for those you love, and leaving a legacy that reflects your particular set of values.

To accomplish these goals, we learn as much as we can about our clients and their unique family dynamic, to understand their particular goals, concerns, fears, and values. There is no charge for the initial consultation. After we understand what your individual needs are, and what type of estate planning is most appropriate, we will quote you a fixed fee so that you will know the final cost before deciding to move forward. This initial meeting is not a sales pitch; it is focused on educating you about the law and your options so you can make an informed decision about what is best for you and your family.

Our Estate Planning Process

Call or email us to schedule a free initial consultation. We will answer your questions, ask some of our own, and learn a little about you. If we’re a good fit for you, we’ll schedule an initial meeting when it is convenient for you, and send you a questionnaire to fill out prior to our meeting.

This Meeting is where we start learning about you, your family, and your goals. We’ll talk about who you’d like to appoint to serve in important roles, such as trustees, executors and financial agents. At the end of the meeting, based on everything we’ve learned, we’ll propose a custom plan for you and quote you a flat fee for that work. If you’re ready to move forward, you’ll make a 50% payment at this time.

After drafting and preparing all of your documents, we’ll schedule you to come in to sign them, and answer any last-minute questions. The second half of your payment will be due at this time.

Once we have made paper and electronic copies of your documents, we will meet one more time to deliver your documents to you. You can choose to have us retain some of your originals in our safe. Most importantly, once your plan is complete, we will work with you to ensure that your plan is properly funded.
